I am under 18 years of age. According to Florida law, if I am 18 years or older, I am not eligible to take the on-line version of the Driver License Knowledge Exam and must complete the Exam at a local testing site approved by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV).

All Applicants are subject to random selection for re-examination at the driver license or tax collector office prior to the issuance of any license. Failure to pass the random re-exam will require the Applicant to pass the knowledge exam prior to license issuance.

As an examining Applicant, you are required to answer personal security questions before and during the on-line examination. VERY IMPORTANT: During the exam, incorrectly answering a personal security question will result in an IMMEDIATE EXAM FAILURE.

Prior to the issuance of any exam, the Parent/Guardian is required to electronically certify that the Applicant will be monitored and not assisted during the on-line exam.

Prior to the issuance of a Learner’s License, the Parent/Guardian is required to certify to the Department that the Applicant was monitored during the on-line examination and that the Parent/Guardian was aware of and allowed the Applicant to take the examination on-line.

If you fail the Driver License Knowledge Exam, you will be permitted to retake the on-line version of the Exam two additional times. However, the Florida DHSMV charges an additional $10.00 for second or third attempts at passing the Exam; therefore, Wise Traffic School charges applicants $27.95 for second or third attempts. If you fail the on-line version of the Driver License Knowledge Exam three times, you will be required to take the Exam in-person at your local Driver License Office.
